Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science and specialized in pomology atUniversità di Pisa. PhD in “Productivity of growth plants” in 1980 atUniversità di Padovain 1980. Between 1983-1990 he was associate professor at Pisa University, teaching pomology and olive-growEng. Since 1990 he is full professor at UNIBAS. He had significant international work experience at:

Pomology Dept., University of California – Davis, USA;

- Experimental Research Station di East Malling, Long Ashton e Letcombe, UK;

- Mediterranean Agronomy Insitute, Chania, Greece;

- Orticultural Dept., Geneva, N.Y. ed al Pomology Dept. Univerity of Michigan, East Lansing, USA.

He is co-author of over 200 scientific papers with international and national diffusion related to his research activity about plants response to environmental stimulation, soil fertility, and water savings. International acknowledged expert of new eco-agricultural frontiers, he promotes sustainable agriculture, pillar of the Green Economy.

PhD in 1994 in Grown Plant Productivity. Since 1995 he worked in the Department of Vegetal Production at UNIBAS as a researcher. During the period September 2000- May 2001 he worked at Hortresearch institute in Palmerston North (New Zeeland). In 2004 he became associate professor in the branch of tree crops. His expertise involves nutrition and management of sustainable production for fruit tree crops. Physiology of fruit trees and management of new crop methods. In the last decade, he achieved scientific, practical and project experience in the management of urban green spaces; he has a strong expertise in the application of soil and plant analysis techniques both on-field and in-lab. He is author and coauthor of more than 100 international and national paper.He is business manager for an important south-Italy company in the garden sector.

Agronomist with a Bachelor’s degree at UNIBAS. Currently professor at UNIBAS. He has conducted cutting- edge research activities especially involve irrigation and radiation impact on olive orchards and grapevine. He has applied various research topics to agro-food business including daily carbon balance analysis, hydric availability, orchard architecture, water optimisation and CO2 sequestration. He has lead an participated to a series of research projects in the field.

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Art of gardens) at University of Naples.Specialized at University of Genoa in Landscape Ecology. Internationally renown Ecology researcher since 1993. She has  taught Urbanistic at Politecnico di Bari   since 2001. Coordinator for international (IMCA Integrating Monitoring Coastal Areas 2004 – 2008) and national (PRIN 2005 – 2007) research groups. She taught at Ecole Nationale Superieure du Paysage de Versailles and at K.U.Leuven Kasteel-Park ArenbergLeuven Heverlee, Belgium. She is part of the scientific commission of a number of editorial boards. Recently she has been senior coordinator for the editing of landscape planning for the Regione Puglia. Author and coauthor of more than 100 paper on national and international papers.

He takes part to numerous national and international research program, like project OLIVERO (2003-2006) - The Future of Olive Plantation Systems on Sloping and Mountainous Land; Scenarios for Production and Natural Resource Conservation.

She is author of over 40 mostly international publications;   she is representative for the international journals Economic Systems Research, Journal of Logistics, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Environmental Informatics, Environmental Politics.
